Martin O'Neill tried a new midfield combination of 3 wingers James Milner, Ashley Young and Stewart Downing, and all 3 became the scorer to push Villa a step closer to the finals. The match started with Villa being down by an own goal from team-mate Stilyan Petrov. They replied through Emile Heskey right after. Then, it was the magnificent trio Milner, Downing and Young who helped Villa wrapped up the game.
