Aston Villa : Match 3 vs Everton

Villa is back at their best again in last week's game against Everton. They managed to beat the Toffees at Villa Park, 1-0 with the solitary goal coming from Luke Young.

This game should be able to bring back their confidence after being hammered by Newcastle previously and lost to Rapid Vienna in the last game. This should also save the boss, Kevin Macdonald's position in Aston Villa.

Let's look forward to their next away match against Stoke City on 13 Sep. Ole! Ole!

Home Delicacies : Wu Tao Khao Yuk

Layered Yam & Pork, pronounced as "Wu Tao Khao Yuk" in Cantonese has been one of my favourite dishes since getting a taste of it when I was young. If I am not mistaken, this dish originated and popularized by the Cantonese people. I have not tried it outside in any restaurant, but I believe the best will still be the home version. You can find the can-packed made-in-China version minus the yam sold in supermarket at the non-halal section.

The dish is best eaten with plain white rice, as the sauce is really heavenly. More so, when the yam is cooked soft enough to be mashed.

Today's 1Joke : 24 August 2010

Saw this funny but impractical news today about a local produced movie, "Ice Kacang Puppy Love". This movie was one of the commendable effort by a local director, using an almost all local cast and workers, and the shooting location was in Malaysia. 

However, something funny happened after that. Because BM was not used enough in the movie, it was perceived as a foreign movie and cannot enjoy any entertainment tax rebate. Since it is a movie about the life of a Chinese boy, it is only natural that most of the dialogues were in his mother tongue. I was wondering, how can they consider Cantonese and Mandarin as a foreign language?

I am not sure if they were really dumb or just pure robotic by following an outdated script, such a thing can happen in this country. No wonder they don't know why we hate them.

Aston Villa: Match 2 vs Newcastle

It was a bad day for Villa, as they got hammered 6-0 by the Magpies. This shouldn't be the right time, as they were just into the 2nd match of the league. If they could not recover from this setback, more bad results will be coming in their way.

It was also not a good result for their boss, MacDonald. My advice to them is to quickly forget about this day, and move on by training hard. Looking forward to the next match against Rapid Vienna is what they should be doing.
