Layered Yam & Pork, pronounced as "Wu Tao Khao Yuk" in Cantonese has been one of my favourite dishes since getting a taste of it when I was young. If I am not mistaken, this dish originated and popularized by the Cantonese people. I have not tried it outside in any restaurant, but I believe the best will still be the home version. You can find the can-packed made-in-China version minus the yam sold in supermarket at the non-halal section.
The dish is best eaten with plain white rice, as the sauce is really heavenly. More so, when the yam is cooked soft enough to be mashed.
